I’m really pleased to be part of this year long exhibition being held in The Kaipara Sculpture Gardens. If you are in and around Auckland do pop in for a wander to see over 40 artists beautiful works. They also have a really nice garden centre full of amazing plants and a cafe with great toasted sandwiches :-)
I chose to hang 300 porcelain wishbones in a stately Tulip tree (Liriodendron). I wanted to add some positivity in these chaotic times.
The wishbone symbolises good luck and the act of manifestation. Drawing from ancient traditions that regard hens as symbols of fortune, this clay installation emphasises the delicate nature of our wishes. It serves as a meaningful reminder of the significance of hope and the fragility of our aspirations.
The wishbones are available for sale at the following locations :
Kaipara Sculpture Gardens Auckland - Large $35 - Small $15
Little Black Gallery Kerikeri - Small $15
No.1 Gallery Rawene - Small $15
Embrace the tradition of wishbones and let your dreams take flight!
